Nicolas Baier, Bernard Lamarche, David Liss

This exhibition of recent photographic work by the Montreal artist Nicolas Baier is constructed around the ideas of the pareidolia, a psychological phenomenon that involves the appearance of familiar forms from vague visual or auditory sensations. The exhibition, along with the accompanying publication, was produced through the joint efforts of the artist and the Musée régional de Rimouski.

Joi T. Arcand is an artist from Muskeg Lake Cree Nation in Saskatchewan, located on Treaty 6 Territory. She currently resides in Ottawa, Ontario.

These earrings feature the word ninēstosin, which means “I am tired” in nêhiyawêwin (Plains Cree).

Her work aims to spark dialogue about Indigenous culture, history, and futures, and to contribute to the revitalization of the Cree language.
